How to Get Started with Mergemill
When Mergemill starts it automatically opens the last data file
used. If there is none, which is the case on first run, the "open"
dialog box is presented. Just click the "New" button
at the bottom of the dialog box to create a new data file. This
file will store all your merge job settings.
On the Mac OS platform, all your data is contained within a single
file with the "data" extension.
On Windows, two files hold your data. They have the same name
but different extensions, which are "4DD" and "4DR".
The first one contains the actual data, while the second stores
the resources. Whenever Mergemill refers to the data file, it
means the one ending with "4DD". However, the two files
must be kept and used together, and they must be identically named
except their extension.
