Auto-Sense Technology - These scanners are designed to increase productivity by incorporating auto-sense technology and flashing standby mode instead of using a trigger to activate the scanner. During standby mode the scanner beam will blink until a barcode is placed in front of it to be scanned. The scanner will go into the energy saving standby mode after about 10 minutes of inactivity by default. This is very helpful when using the raised stand because it provides automatic, hands free scanning. The CCD scanners also have a manual trigger mode and a trigger button which can also turn on the scanner.

Scans Small Barcodes - The Intermec ScanPlus 1800 has a CCD linear image scan engine that can focus on smaller barcodes better than most lasers scanners.

Durability - can withstanding multiple drops to concrete from 1m (3.2ft) and wide temperature range operation. The design of this scanner allows it to sit firmly on a flat surface such as a table or desk.

The entire operator's manual is not shipped with your order; therefore, you may download and print it out if you do not intend to use the supplied software. Symbologies can be easily enabled simply by scanning a barcode from the manual or by loading supplied software from CD ROM.
